[Various Characters] X Kid!Reader (Edward Elric)

Ed had come to Rush Valley to get Winry to fix his broken Auto-Mail. He lugged his busted arm on his back as he headed for Winry's Shop. Ed sighed, unfortunately, he had got on the last train headed for Rush Valley, so it was late at night, few people were even awake.
"Winry's gonna kill me" He groaned, as he continued to trudge on in the silent darkness, lit only by his lantern. When the silence was broken by the small clang of an object falling down in a dark alleyway. Ed peered down the alleyway. 
"Must've been a cat" He justified until a small exhale was heard. Ed recognized that noise to be human and walked down the dark alley. Ed held up his lantern and scanned the area. He didn't see anything, but out of the corner of his eye, he saw a garbage bag rustle.Ed quickly removed the garbage bags to find a small child hiding under the debris. Ed stood still, he had expected an enemy, someone he could punch, not a small child. Her form trembled, as she tried to hide from the light. Her build was small and frail, she seemed terrified. The child's trembling became more noticeable as Ed got closer.
"Hey," Ed whispered in hopes not to scare her. The child did not react the way he would have hoped, instead, she tried to cover head with her ragged clothing, and curled into a tighter ball. 
"Hey, Are you alright? I'm not going to hurt you," He said still in his quiet tone. The child only trembled harder in response. Ed didn't know what to do, he couldn't just simply leave her there she was in desperate need of help. Ed thought while he glanced at her thin and frail body. Ed sighed he wished Al was here but, he had stayed in Central to help Colenal Mustang. Ed took his red coat off and carefully draped it over her, so not to scare her. The child was still shaking though, not as much.
"Are you cold?" Ed asked, thinking maybe with her poor clothing she would be."Do you want to go somewhere warm?"
Her form shook and she hid under Ed's coat. Ed sighed he would have already scooped the child up had he of had both his arms. Realizing the lack of one arm, he himself may be scaring her.
"Are-Are you afraid of, Me?" Edward asked quietly. 
The child slowly turned, tears rolling down her face. Ed then saw the child's face, she round E/C eyes, and soft H/C hair that went down to her (Neck, Shoulders, Lower back). Her watery E/C orbs looked into his own golden ones. Ed gave his best smile so not to scare her.
"Hey, kiddo, are you alright?" He asked. The child's eyes glanced from his face to his missing arm, then back to his face. She looked like she was trying to evaluate if he was going to hurt her or not. Slowly she shook her head 'no'.
"Alright, do you need some help?"
She nodded
"Well then, can I take you to a friend of mine's shop?"
She shook her head.
"Why not?"
She slowly moved her hands to slowly tap her legs.
"Can you not walk?"
She nodded once more.
"Well then, that won't do" Ed stated as he swept down and picked her up. The child gasped and clung to Ed's shirt. He held her one-handedly and continued to walk down the streets to Winry's. He arrived at her shop and slowly knocked. He looked up to the second story expecting a wrench to come in that direction. Instead, the door was opened Ed then assumed that the wrench would come from there, he tensed getting ready to move he couldn't let Winry's wrench hit the child in his arms. He glanced at the child, she still clung to his shirt looking at the opening door. Winry popped her head out the door.
"Ed?" She asked
"Yeah, it's me, could you -uh- let me in?"
"Yeah Yeah, uh Ed, who's that?"
"Oh, well, perhaps we should come inside, yeah?"
"Alright"
Ed explained to Winry that he had found her in an alleyway, that she was homeless, had lost feeling in her legs and he had taken her in. Ed had also slowly coaxed the child to tell them her name she had scribbled the name 'Y/N' on a piece of paper. Ed did all this while simultaneously fixing the child some porridge. He passed her the bowl and the child looked at Ed as if waiting for permission.
"Go ahead kiddo, it's all yours"
The child then greedily ate the entire bowl in less than five minutes.
"So you originally came here to fix your Auto-Mail but, then found her"
"Well, yeah speaking of which-" Ed held up his dis-attached arm "Could I get that tune up now?"
"You shouldn't have been so careless Ed, what if you had gotten seriously hurt?"
"I'm sorry Winry but if Al and I am going to get our bodies back we have to get in a couple fights- We're not searching for something people are just going to hand away"
"I know but still-"
"I know I know, just fix my arm, please"
"I got it but, you know I'm going to have to re-connect the nerves, you sure you want to do that with her around?" Winry said tilting her head toward the girl on her third bowl of porridge.
"If you are referring to the pain, I think I can keep quiet"
"Ed-"
"I'll be fine, afterward would you care to give this kiddo a bath and maybe spare her some clothes?"
"Of course Ed"
"Then let's get to it"
Winry nodded as she took Ed to the table. When Winry started to re-connect the nerves Ed bit his lip until it drew blood, obviously in pain but refusing to make a noise for the child in the next room. Little did either of them know the child sat in the doorway watching the two of them. She watched Edward as Winry re-connected his limb. She slowly rubbed her legs, she had scooted down the hallway to check on Ed. She knew Ed didn't have an arm earlier and though she didn't fully understand the concept of Auto-Mail she understood that that lady Ed knew was making him better. She wanted silver legs like Ed's arm, then she could walk again. When Winry was finished Ed sat up from the table and saw Y/N sitting in the doorway.
"Y/N, What are you doing here?" Ed asked as he scooped her up.
She felt Ed's Auto-mail arm to make sure it was real. She then tapped his metal arm, then her legs.
"No, Y/N You're not ready for Auto-Mail," Ed replied "Not yet"
She frowned but continued to rub Ed's metallic arm. Later that night Ed had tucked her into the guest bed, now in fresh clothes. Ed had done this and was about to leave when the child grabbed his sleeve.
"What is it?" He asked
She tapped the bed.
"Want me to stay?"
She nodded
"Okay then," Ed said as he laid by the child. She snuggled close to him and kept a firm hold on his Auto-mail arm. Later in the night, Ed was awoken by the child rustling around in the blankets, he heard her whimper and thought he may have heard a sob but it was gone as soon as soon at came. The child sat bolt upright and tears rolled down her face.
"Y/N" Ed whispered to her. She turned to face him and started to sob. Ed hugged the child and stroked her hair softly humming.
"Ed-ward" She sobbed. His eyes widened but softly smiled and said,
"I'm here"
"Stay"
"I will"
"Don't go Big Brother"
At this Ed looked at the child incredulously eyes wide, he was surprised the child had made such a bond with him yet, he smiled once more and replied,
"I'm not going anywhere"
